Peter Dundas has a knack for night out style. His fashion defined Y2K-era rock glam with its sexy, glamorous aesthetic and a touch of naughtiness. So when we heard rumors about the debut of this fashion designer’s beauty line for him, we were expecting brightly colored, loud pigments, sultry eyes and sexy lips. Dundas His Beauty’s February 2024 launch surprised us with the exact opposite content. No smokey eyes in sight, this is a capsule collection of makeup essentials for fresh, glowing skin.
Dundas Beauty has announced five hero products. All of these are gender-inclusive and designed for everyday wear. Together with her life partner and business partner Evangelo Boucis and Anastasia Soare, founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills, Dundas creates the essentials for fresh, minimalist makeup that enhances, but doesn’t overpower, your natural beauty. We created a line to create it accurately. “I try to make people look good so they can feel more confident,” Dundas told WWD. “Because I think when you look good and feel desirable, you feel good about yourself. That’s what we wanted to do with our beauty line as well.”
Throughout his career, Dundas has worked for the likes of Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli and Jean Paul Gaultier, and has dressed muses Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé and Naomi Campbell. In 2017, he debuted his eponymous line with iconic fashions, and longtime “Dundas girl” Beyoncé wore three Peter Dundas looks to the Grammy Awards that year. His signature style is accentuated by body-hugging silhouettes, plunging necklines, and flattering patterns, and on the runway, these sexy fashions are often paired with pared-back makeup. This was Dundas’ direct inspiration for his beauty work. “I always want my makeup to look really natural, because even though I think the shape of my clothes is very simple, I have a lot of color and embellishments,” says Dundas. “That’s why you should never use too much makeup. I think part of being glamorous is being effortless. ”
This minimalist, no-makeup aesthetic is timeless, in keeping with today’s skin-related preferences. “With this drop, we wanted to make it easy for people of all genders to wear on the go,” adds Dundas. Perfect for jet-set lifestyles who want to look fresh quickly. “Heavy makeup is out,” says Dundas. “My skin looks fresh and healthy, like I just came back from vacation.” Rather than a full-coverage, flashy foundation, Dundas Beauty offers a creamy concealer with a finish that mimics your skin. Instead of a highlighter, it contains a tinted moisturizer that changes to your skin color when you apply it, leaving your cheeks feeling dewy. When it comes to eyes, Dundas Beauty offers double-ended eyeliners that go from day to night.

“This was the most difficult thing to perfect,” Bousis says. “We looked at all the concealers that get greasy. We attacked it from our own angle – men’s skin, so we thought it would be a success if we could get men to wear it.” .” To achieve that, Dundas and Bousis made the Undercover Enhancer Concealer so hydrating that minimalists can apply it to bare skin without moisturizer.
