From big chain gyms to high-end Pilates studios, the Hudson Valley is no stranger to fitness. But Peach Physique in Wappingers Falls fills a niche as a fun, inclusive boutique studio that doesn’t take its workouts too seriously. This female-owned fitness spot has pioneered a unique fitness methodology that blends barre, Pilates, and yoga techniques to tone, tone, and lift participants in an engaging environment.
Peach Physique, which opened in December 2023, is the product of partners Patricia John, Jocelyn Drew, and Alaina Drew. The trio are all former Manhattan residents who left the big city to build new lives in the Hudson Valley, bringing business, community, and health with them. Jocelyn and Alaina Drew are the owners of her online candle company, Bijou Candles, while Patricia John, affectionately known as “Head Peach,” has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry. John has worked with a variety of clients including television personality Al Roker, and she specializes in personal girlfriend training and group fitness.

Starting his own fitness studio wasn’t always in John’s mind, but after moving to the Hudson Valley and teaching classes at other workout hotspots in the area, he developed a business like Peach Physique. I realized the need for something. Jocelyn and Alaina Drew were regulars at many of her fitness classes, so naturally the three of them came together to start Wappingers Falls Studio, each bringing different strengths to everything from marketing to design to fitness plans. Brought to the table.
Peach Physique is nothing like your average workout class. Each session is 45 minutes long and utilizes the Peach Method, a technique developed by Peach Director Patricia John. Her method combines elements of all kinds of exercises, using bands, light weights, and a barre along the way. The combination of movements, combined with low-impact exercises and perfectly selected music, safely and effectively strengthens your core, corrects your posture, and tones your muscles.

An inclusive studio, Peach Physique’s fitness classes are suitable for all ages, all body types, and all intensity levels. For John, his favorite part of the job is seeing the progress his students make each week, giving them joy and confidence. “Peach Physique is more than just a fitness studio, it’s a community where every workout is a celebration of movement and where exercise is more than just a physical goal, it’s a conduit to joy, health and a fulfilling lifestyle,” says John. says.
The best part about working out at Peach Physique is that you don’t need any prior experience or skill to participate, but the studio has recently added more classes of varying difficulty so there’s something for everyone. Added. Try Pure Peach for the basics, Peach Plus for something more challenging, Peach Jam for a more energetic, dance-filled class, or Peach Punch for a session focused on kickboxing.

With a constant supply of wedding venues in the area, John hopes to add more promotions and packages in the future that cater to specific needs and groups such as brides. Further down the line, after growing their current business and spreading the word about the studio, Peach Physique would like to expand into a larger studio in the Hudson Valley with more space for classes.
Located in the ever-expanding Village of Wappingers, this fitness studio is the perfect addition to the handful of women-owned businesses currently thriving within the community. Peach Physique is truly “where fitness meets fun, and everyone is invited to the party.”
Peach Physique is located at 2653 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
