PAK vs CAN Live Score: Canada 106/7 (20 overs) vs Pakistan
Canada managed to cross the 100-run threshold with a precious 10 in the final over, but Pakistan’s bowlers proved themselves with a commanding performance throughout the innings.
Despite the conditions favouring the bowlers, Canada’s innings started on a promising note. “Aaron Johnson, eager to get back on track, hit some solid boundaries and brought a positive vibe to the team.” Unfortunately, Navneet Dhaliwal found it difficult to cope with the movement and shaky bounce and was dismissed early. Pargat Singh also succumbed to the pressure and was limited to a single-figure score. “Nicholas Carton, who had been in good form, was very unfortunate to be dismissed in a complete miscommunication.” Canada were in a precarious position. The quick dismissals of Shreyas Mova and Rabinderpal Singh made matters worse, leaving Johnson as the only warrior with only 54 runs on the scoreboard.
Johnson’s valiant effort came to an end soon after he reached a respectable half-century, with Kaleem Sana playing a key role later in the innings as Canada passed the 100-point mark and offered a ray of hope amid a dominating Pakistan pitch.
