Gail: And–the sound of gunfire. One innocent woman was killed and more than 20 people, including 11 children, were injured. In the state, 19-year-olds can carry concealed weapons without a permit, with some exceptions.

Brett: The thinking that allows this is illogical, incomprehensible, insane, and clearly incurable. The most obvious thing any state can do is raise the age of gun ownership to at least 21, if not older, and impose long prison terms on anyone who possesses or sells weapons to younger people. is. If you can’t buy beer, you can’t buy guns either. It shouldn’t be a difficult decision.
But like so much else in America these days, extreme control and compromise are ruled out. These two facts define America’s decline.
Gail: you’re right. But let’s try to end it on a happier note. We’re still celebrating last week’s New York special legislative election. In this election, Democrat Tom Suozzi won the seat previously held by the dreaded George Santos. Advocate for a healthy and moderate plan to resolve the border crisis. The very candidates you’re worried about have become obsolete.
Brett: Suozzi may be the single biggest reason to move to Long Island. Sadly, he is also alone. see you next week!
