I’m usually not the most spontaneous person ever, so I’ve been trying to be more spontaneous over the past month. I always need a plan, and I need to know what happens, when, where, and who in every situation. I’ve been trying to escape the need to know everything that’s going on. Because I feel like it’s stressing me out.
Last week, I made new earrings with a friend on a whim. I’m not usually the type to say “yes” to such things right away, but when she said, “Let’s go,” I said, “Of course!” After getting my ears pierced, I had no regrets or second thoughts. It made me want to have more and made me realize how much fun it is to be self-motivated.
when you feel spontaneous, There are more fun things to do.Article from guardian “We often think that anticipation takes half the fun, but in 2016 researchers at two US universities found that people enjoy an activity more if they improvise.” To me, this research is nothing short of accurate.Whenever I go out without planning anything, It was great fun.
Stopping rebranding is more freeing than you can imagine.
Having a set plan all the time can be stressful. Thinking about what to do next or worrying about deadlines can cause unnecessary anxiety. Fulfilling my plans and going with the flow has brought more balance into my life. Of course, there are times when you need to be more structured. But if you can afford to be spontaneous, do it. Because you never know what will happen.
The movie also emphasizes how wonderful spontaneity is. In the movie The Longest Ride, the main character, Sofia, wanted to stay and study here. However, her friends convinced her to go to the rodeo. Sophia, who went to her rodeo, finds her real boyfriend Luke. If Sophia hadn’t been so spontaneous, she wouldn’t have found Luke and her life would have been very different. She has no way of knowing what her life would have been like if she had just stayed here, but we can see her life changing for the better. I did.
Although movies are often fictional and inaccurate, I think this general plotline is fundamentally sound.
The spotlight is on you and your story matters.
I recently booked a flight to New York, but I was pretty nervous about the classes I’d be missing and the price. I called her mother to get her opinion on whether I should go and she said she would have more memories than my worries. I think this is one of the best pieces of advice I could have gotten from her. She was always spontaneous, even when we were traveling. We don’t have a set plan. Always go with the flow. Many of my friends go on vacation with some sort of itinerary, but my mom and I don’t. Now I understand why she thinks being spontaneous is great.
I am working on becoming more spontaneous. Pierce and my trip to New York made me realize how much joy and adventure being spontaneous can bring. There’s a chance you’ll regret that night out or whatever it was, but you’re more likely to create unforgettable memories.
