There are a lot of bands and artists from different genres that I listen to. My taste in music is a bit unusual, but I love it.I listen to bands like my chemical romance — Favorite alternative rock/emo band of all time — Lorna Shoredeathcore band, U2classic rock band, and smashing pumpkins, an alternative rock band. Then I switch to country artists. zach bryan, tyler childers and Chris Stapleton. I know a lot of rock music fans don’t like country or folk music, but I love it. A person tends to be more interesting when his musical tastes are mixed.
Sometimes someone’s music tastes can be a little unexpected. As I mentioned before, I listen to New Jersey deathcore band Lorna Shore and Oklahoma country artist Zach Bryan. When it comes to Lorna Shore, most of the time we don’t really know what this singer is saying. If I showed this band to her parents, they might think I’m crazy. But when it comes to Zach Bryan, I know what he means. I enjoy these bands and artists and their genres equally.
I feel like a lot of rock music fans look down on country/folk music, but I love both. There are a lot of people who hate country music in general, but there are so many aspects of the genre that are surprising to me. If someone says they don’t like country music, I don’t know if I can trust them. For example, some people say it’s all about beer and farms, but it’s much more than that. Country artists and bands are incredibly connected to their hometown and Southern culture. I think it’s really beautiful.
Another good thing is that you don’t judge people by their music taste. There are many bands and artists of various genres in the world. It’s fun to discover more bands in one genre, but lately I’ve been trying to discover bands in other genres.
I will admit that I listen to more rock, alternative, indie, and other similar genres than country music. It’s good to have the ability to understand different genres, but it’s also not bad to be very interested in just one genre. If you understand and listen to certain genres more than others, you will know more and expand your knowledge of that genre. But overall, if you listen to a lot of different artists and bands, you’ll meet a lot of people who have similar music tastes to you. I love meeting people who like the same artists and bands that I listen to. This is especially true if the person has a wide range of music tastes.
