The content of the XII Opinion Festival will largely be determined over the next two weeks, with an open call for ideas on the festival website from March 4th to 17th. Anyone who wants to organize a discussion at the Paide Opinion Festival can share their ideas.
From the festival’s second year onwards, much of the program has come from people’s own thoughts through an open call for ideas. “The public call for ideas is one of the most important moments for the Opinion Festival. There is no doubt that it is one of the cornerstones of the Opinion Festival as a festival of democracy,” said Kasper, the organizer.・Mr. Tamist said. “Each year, we work with hundreds of discussion organizers to ensure this program reaches as many people as possible and provides food for thought and motivation throughout the year.”
All discussion ideas, including those that address important current issues, require collective thinking, or explore solutions to problems, are welcome in the Call for Ideas. Organizations, businesses, communities, and other groups can submit ideas. Tamist said participating in the call is an opportunity to make the world a better place, starting with your own community and those around you. “This is the best way to attract a large audience to a topic that is important and needs widespread attention.”
To submit a topic to the Opinion Festival website, you must be willing to organize a relevant discussion. However, Tamist is encouraging everyone to take part in the call, as the Opinion Festival team will also be supporting the organization. “We will provide practical and technical support to ensure that the discussions are properly planned. The two-and-a-half months between the announcement of the call results and the public announcement of the program will undoubtedly be exciting for everyone. ”
Topics received in the call will be evaluated by the Opinion Festival team and organizers of selected ideas will be contacted in the first week of April.
The XII Opinion Festival will be held in Paide on August 9th and 10th.
