His mother, Chantelle, is also an artist and discovered her son’s talent while trying to keep him busy by creating her own art.
She said: “To keep my son busy whilst he was learning to crawl, I rolled out an unstretched canvas on the floor and dribbled a bit of paint onto it.
“He eventually spread the paint across the entire canvas, creating his first masterpiece in the process, entitled ‘Crawling.'”
Speaking about her son’s creative process and approach to painting, his mother said his work is “an expression of his curiosity and joy in discovering new things.”
She said once he has a canvas and paint ready to paint on, he comes into the studio and picks out the size and color of canvas he wants.
“Then he calls me over, opens a jar of paint, and begins to carefully but naturally apply the paint to the canvas.
“The time it takes to paint a picture can range from a few minutes to 30 minutes, depending on how interested I am at the time.
“He sometimes leaves a painting until it is finished and then comes back a few days later to finish it.
“When I’m done, I say, ‘Mum, I’m done.'”
