Ofsted inspectors said Hans Price Academy remained a “good” school, praising it for creating “high expectations” and a “sense of belonging” for all pupils.
Weston-super-Mare Academy has been rated ‘good’ since 2013 and its latest Ofsted rating, published today (22 January), says it ‘continues to be a good school’.
Ofsted’s inspection team spent two days scrutinizing lessons and student work, interviewing leaders, teachers, students and parents and “deeply investigating” a number of subject areas.

Chief inspector Victoria Griffing then gave clear support for Hans Price’s regulations and the “positive culture that the school has cultivated over many years”.
Her report states: “Hans Price Academy continues to be a good school. “A sense of belonging is at the heart of the Hans Price Academy ethos. The school has high expectations for its pupils. Staff treat each student as an individual.
“Students are encouraged to take responsibility and develop resilience. Pupils feel safe and well-cared for in their ‘learning families’ within the school’s four ‘colleges’.
“Effective systems are in place to support good behavior. Pupils reflect on and respond to behavior that does not meet the school’s high expectations.
“The school is uncompromising in maintaining a quiet and orderly environment in which students can learn. The school’s ‘ready to learn’ policy supports its unique culture. Help students make the right choices. ”
Inspectors went on to praise the school’s “effective” safety measures, “expert” teaching and “carefully designed” curriculum.
They also noted the “wide range of extra-curricular activities” that are “available to all students” and the “highly individualized” SEND support, which means “students receive the right support at the right time”. .
Ofsted’s findings have been welcomed by leaders at Hans Price Academy and its parent organization, the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF), which includes six Weston schools and Hans College secondary schools. There is.
Price, Winterstoke Hundred, Broadoak and primaries Uphill Village, Heywood Village and Herons Moor are all currently rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.
