Two sisters have turned their “dream” beauty salon into a reality with a focus on female empowerment. Golden’en Green Aesthetics is the latest business to open at Carlton Business Center on Station Road.
Located in Unit 31, sisters Roxana Karin, 29, and Sidonia Grapa, 24, opened their doors to customers for the first time last Monday (January 24) with an “amazing” launch. . The two sisters refer to their customers as “Wonder Women,” giving them confidence in the specialized beauty treatments offered.
Roxana, who lives in Carlton, said: “This is a happy place and a place where we are really obsessed with making women look even more beautiful than they already are. We are already perfect on the inside, each one of us is an amazing woman, and at the same time… She can do 10,000 things.”

“We just want women to feel confident,” added Sidonia, who lives in Sninton.
“For example, when you look at your eyelashes in the mirror, it gives you a glow and gives you confidence, which makes you feel good.”
The pair, who are also mothers, first started their business after Sidonia obtained her eyelash and waxing qualifications in July 2023. Later, because she didn’t have the space to open a salon at her home, Sidonia asked her sister to open one.
Roksana said of when Sidonia approached her about the business: I thought that was such a shame because it’s such a beautiful thing and it’s art and these days it’s art. ”
Roksana said that during that time she thought about the beauty treatments she wanted to offer. Being a mother of her two children, she said it is very important for her to take care of her own body.
The 29-year-old has since developed a passion for body contouring, becoming certified in the field and offering cavitation treatments. she said: “So, I’m a mother of two kids and she’s a mother too, so I thought, OK, what can we do for myself? So my biggest problem is my body, my own body. I thought of it as taking care of my body, and I think this is a big issue for all women, especially mothers after giving birth.
“I thought I might try taking a body contouring course. I’ve gone through it, it’s amazing, I really feel like it represents me.”
The sisters say this new salon was “what was meant to be” as everything fell into place as they worked on their venture. Roxana said: “You wouldn’t believe it, it was like it was really prepared for us.
“I was like, I’ve seen this space before. I really liked it, but it was very expensive. I don’t know if it’s actually within this budget, but I put in an offer and it was like, I was told it was for me. It was really easy, I don’t know how,” Sidonia added.
Her sister continued: We were also surprised. Because when we got the big opening and another colleague told me how hard it was to get the opening, I knew we were truly blessed. ”
They described the salon as an expression of who they are as sisters, mothers, and people. The name “Golden Green” comes from their favorite color.
Roxana is represented in emerald green, and Sidonia in gold. This theme runs throughout the salon.
Sidonia added: We had it in our heads, and we had this image of putting this here, a flower here, a mirror there, and it just did that automatically. ”
Roxana continued: “We really love coffee and the best conversations in life are next to coffee, so we wanted to have a coffee bar there. We really wanted that to be a part of our .
“I don’t know what else, but it looks like us, the colors and everything. I really feel like it’s part of our life, like a little baby, like our baby. .”
They held a launch on Monday night (January 22) with people in the salon. They said it was amazing. Sidonia said:
“We just got together and listened to a little music. We cut the bow and it was the best feeling ever. It was an amazing moment. Afterwards, we stayed and talked about business. ”
She went on to explain how well-received it was by the community and was flooded with messages on social media two days after launch. she said: She said: “I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly.
“I received a lot of messages. I had over 40 messages about eyelashes and I didn’t even have time to reply, but I managed to. And this morning I had one client who really loved her eyelashes. It was a great experience.” That’s beautiful. “
The two explained the difference from other salons. Roksana emphasized that being a mother has really helped her in this journey of making other women feel good.
She said: “What makes us really a little bit different is because we’re moms ourselves and we love to understand a little bit deeper and see women have confidence. We make money and profits. We’re not here just to think about it; we’re not interested in that. We’re interested in making friends, growing our community, and meeting amazing women.”
There’s also another hairdresser on site, Ioana Lepadatu, who provides Botox and vitamin B12 injections. The sisters are looking for a talented manicurist and hope to offer nails in the near future.
