Robert Irwin and Bindi Irwin appeared on The Sunday Project this weekend and couldn’t stop complimenting each other.
The exchange began with Bindi congratulating her brother on his blossoming TV career and gushing about him being the most stylish Irwin family member.
“I’m so happy and excited that Robert has taken up the baton. I’ve really enjoyed spreading the message of wildlife conservation and it’s really great to see Robert giving it his all,” the 25-year-old said.
Bindi continued, “Robert, here’s the thing: You’re a fashionable Irwin, so someone’s got to be in front of the camera.”
“Oh man, check out Erwin’s timeline here. Honestly, I’m really proud of him.”
Robert was moved and then launched into a lengthy speech about how proud he was of his sister, who had just published a new children’s book, “You Are a Wildlife Warrior!”
“You wrote this book whilst publicly experiencing the pain of your own battle with endometriosis,” the 20-year-old enthused.
“You’ve come through this as a continued advocate for endometriosis and the natural world. It’s a gift to the world. It’s a gift to the younger generation.”
“Thank you for always approaching everything you do with selflessness and absolute courage. Bindi, you are truly amazing,” he continued.
While the pair were touched by their public expressions of gratitude and brotherly pride, not everyone watching at home was amused.
Several people took to social media platform X to share their thoughts, saying they felt the siblings’ display of affection was a bit too sweet.
“Nothing more embarrassing than the Irwin kids telling each other how amazing they are. It makes me sick,” one person commented.
Another viewer at home chimed in: “I can’t stand those two over the top Irwins, I’m not watching anymore!”
“This just makes me more frustrated,” another wrote, while another asked, “When is this going to end?”
Bindi announced the publication of her first children’s book earlier this year.
“You Are a Wildlife Warrior!” will be released in the US and Australia on February 4, 2025.
