Police have offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to Ezzedi’s arrest.

A £20,000 reward has been put out by the Met for information leading to the arrest of the Clapham chemical attack suspect.
The force said it believed there were people who knew Abdul Ezzedi’s whereabouts but had not come forward and had been threatened with arrest.
In an update, police said they had narrowed down the substance used on the woman, caused her life-altering injuries and installed new surveillance cameras starting Wednesday.
Commander John Sabel said: “We have received a significant number of reports and we are extremely grateful to the public.
“Your help is vital. There is a reward of up to £20,000 for information leading to his arrest.”
“We must warn anyone who is trying to evade Ezzedi’s arrest: If they harbor or assist Ezedi, they will be arrested.
“Our inquiry line has dedicated detectives working 24/7, 365 days a year. If you know where he is or have any information that could help, please call us now. please.”
A nationwide search has been launched to find Mr Ezzedi, 35, from Afghanistan, who traveled to London from Newcastle on Wednesday.

Police believe the man used “a highly concentrated corrosive substance, either liquid sodium hydroxide or liquid sodium carbonate,” on the woman.
Relatives say he was in a relationship with her. She was staying at a hotel near the scene of the attack.
She suffered potentially life-altering injuries and is in critical but stable condition in hospital, while her children were injured but not as seriously. Witnesses who intervened were also injured.
Police said he traveled to Clapham before taking the Underground to north London where he was seen on CCTV at Tesco in Caledonian Road on Wednesday night. Police released footage of the incident on Sunday, and earlier released still images showing his distinctive facial injuries.
He was last seen at 9:33pm on January 31, leaving Tower Hill tube station after changing trains in Victoria.
Police are trying to track where he went next.
Darius Nasimi, from the charity Afghanistan and Central Asia Association, said: “Abdul, I am speaking directly to you. I want you to go to the police station immediately.

“You are seriously injured and need medical attention, but more importantly, you must do the right thing and surrender to the police. You have been in this condition long enough.
“If you wish, please contact the charity and we will speak to you and work with you to assist the police with their investigation. Mr Abdul, please contact us as soon as possible or call 999. Please call or go to the police station.” ”
A woman who intervened to save a mother and her children from the attack suffered “both eyeballs burned”.
A woman in her 50s bravely confronted a suspect who was trying to harm her 31-year-old mother’s 3-year-old child. Her other child, 8 years old, was also injured.

He told the Times that she had “burned both eyeballs” and may have been permanently damaged. She sees a specialist every day.

Addresses in London and Newcastle were searched. Police found a white bathtub labeled as a corrosive substance at his Newcastle home.

Concerned that he was being helped by an organized crime group, the Metropolitan Police requested assistance from the UK’s National Crime Agency.
His details are being circulated in all British ports. British Visas and Immigration, Border Force and British Transport Police are also involved in the search, as are several other forces.
Meanwhile, the Home Office is investigating how Mr Ezzedi was granted asylum in the UK after arriving in the back of a truck.
He was found guilty of sexual assault and indecent assault charges in 2018 and had his asylum request twice rejected, but he claims to have converted to Christianity and says the priest is “fully committed” to the faith. and won the right to stay in immigration court.
