Well, it’s only been a few weeks since the last addition to the city’s Superloop bus network, but now yet another express bus service is set to launch in London. Following the launch of the first route last summer and further expansions in December and early this year, another Superloop service will officially launch this weekend.
named SL3the newest Superloop route will be in south-east London, with limited stops between London and London. thamesmead and Bromley North.launch this Saturday, February 24th.
SL3 zips between Thamesmead and Bromley stations, stopping at stations including Abbey Wood, Bexleyheath and Chislehurst. This is the 8th official Super Loop route.
If this is your first time hearing about Superloop, let me give you an overview. The idea behind the project is to create a rapid bus route system with fewer stops, connecting London’s outer boroughs. For some Superloop bus routes, TfL has been involved in launching new services, while for others it has essentially repackaged and rebranded existing bus routes.
Existing Superloop services include SL1 (North Finchley to Walthamstow Central), SL5 (Bromley North to Croydon Town Center), SL6 (West Croydon to Russell Square), SL7 (West Croydon to Heathrow Airport) and SL8 (Uxbridge ~ White City). , SL9 (Heathrow to Harrow) and SL10 (Harrow to North Finchley).
SL3 links with SL5. Next up are SL2, which will operate between Walthamstow Central and North Woolwich, starting in March, and SL4, which will run from Westferry Circus to Grove Park and is scheduled to start operating in 2025.
