Gardener’s World presenter Monty Don has once again shown off his incredible horticultural fingers with his latest gardening achievement, which fans have called “magic”. The 69-year-old gardening expert has been building his Longmeadow garden for many years and is constantly making changes to it.
Monty revealed just how healthy his plants are as he showed us what he calls his “wet garden.” He writes: “In the wet garden, the hostas are a little unkempt, but they are rarely bothered by slugs or snails.”
But fans have had the exact opposite experience this year, and seem to be amazed at how he’s managed to get his hostas to grow so big, with one fan writing: “Let me tell you a secret – my hostas are poking their heads out and I can almost hear the slugs yelling that Buffett is open for business.”

“How do you do that? Everything I planted this year has been eaten by slugs and snails. I’m so depressed,” a second person commented.
“I have absolutely no idea how this happened! My garden has turned into an all you can eat buffet of slugs and snails this year,” a third user added. “Why?? My garden looks like a doily!” another wrote.
A fifth said: “What kind of magic is this?! With the warm winter and rain pouring from the sky my garden is overrun with slugs and snails…” while a sixth added: “How did they do this?”
