Mobile phone/gadget insurance is available to serving and retired police officers, police staff and their insured partners whilst in the UK and for up to 90 days if abroad.
You can extend your coverage to other resident family members by contacting George Burrows and paying an additional annual premium.
The insurer will pay two claims per member per year for repairs or replacements (where applicable), up to a maximum of £1,000 per gadget or £1,150 per mobile phone, if:
- Accidental Damage
- theft
- Accidental loss (cell phones only)
- break
- Liquid damage
- Fraudulent phone calls.
General conditions **
Mobile phones/gadgets must be less than 36 months old at the time cover begins and have valid proof of purchase. Second-hand goods or items purchased outside the UK are not covered by this policy.
No cover:
– Theft, loss or damage of any kind of accessories
– Reconnection fees or subscription fees of any kind
– If you are unable to provide proof of use when requested
– If you cannot prove ownership.
* An insurance excess of £50 applies to new goods up to £500, £75 applies to new goods between £500 and £999 and £100 applies to new goods over £1,000.

If your phone or gadget is an Apple product, we recommend that you take it to your local Apple store for repair or replacement. First, you will need to call the number below to verify that your claim is successful. After that, you will be provided with details on how to proceed with Apple service.
