London is home to many fascinating historical, artistic and scientific collections, but not just those at the V&A and Natural History Museum. The Vagina Museum, Walthamstow Vestry House and the Magic Circle are just some of the weird and wonderful alternative museums this city has to offer. And to our delight, one of London's quirkiest establishments is about to reopen.

The Grant is located near Euston Square and Warren Street Tube stations and is housed in a former Edwardian library belonging to UCL.
The renovation cost an estimated £300,000, courtesy of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the Wolfson Museum and Gallery Improvement Foundation.
If you like the classic Grant layout, don't worry. The renovation maintains the unique floor-to-ceiling exhibits that were part of the OG Museum's appeal. London blogger Ian Visits said: “The changes will give the main space a new interpretation that emphasizes the amazing diversity of life in nature.”
And the contents of the Grant Zoological Museum are pretty amazing. Among the museum's 67,000 specimens is a vast collection of dead animals, including extinct species, elephant skulls, pickled bugs, and even a jar of moles (like the local mascot). objects), plastic dinosaurs, and even a micrarium. Something like a dramatic display of tiny insects. Wow.
So, if you're looking for something a little different over the next few weeks, the Grant Zoological Museum will be open Tuesday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm.
