After consecutive losses to the United States and India, Pakistan recorded their first win of the tournament against Canada on Tuesday.
Canada was forced to bat first and was held to a 106-7 lead.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir was awarded the Man of the Match award for taking three wickets while Muhammad Rizwan scored fifty with seven wickets.
“It’s good for us, we needed this win,” Pakistan captain Babar Azam said.
