A total of 276 companies join the Rights Center
WMany of us are in the final stages of preparations before the London Book Fair (March 12-14) and have had a quick look around the show’s International Rights Center. The center will be set up again this year on his first floor of the Olympia London complex, with surplus space mostly on the upper floors.
The redevelopment of the venue feels like it has been going on for almost 140 years since Olympic London was founded. Information about ongoing development projects can be found here.
One of the effects of the adjustments that director Gareth Rapley and his team have made to accommodate the refurbishment is the relocation of the trading center to the ground floor. This has proven to be an advantage in some agents’ opinion, and they appreciate being able to access the rest of the show more quickly than when the rights center was several floors up in the adjacent conference center. says.

Indeed, the centrality of a strong right floor to a trade show is better for the rest of the trade fair goers when the facilities are in a visible location than if they are hidden out of sight in another building or level. It’s easy to remember.
This year’s center has an overspill area on the ground floor, and LBF staff said: “We look forward to transitioning the International Rights Center into his single space from 2025, when renovations to the venue will allow for this.”

And in terms of discussion, staff would like to highlight this year’s new presentation space, the International Market Theater. The theater is proud to have partnered with the British Council, the Authors’ Association, the Copyright Clearance Centre, Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing, Beat Technology, English PEN, the British Literary Translation Centre, the Young Publishers Association, the Book Industry Research Group (BISG), Springer Nature, Audible, Cambridge University Press, CILIP, etc.
