Britain’s rail company has advised passengers that there may be delays due to a “widespread IT issue”.
Govia Thameslink Rail’s four brands – Southern, Thameslink, Gatwick Express and Great Northern – have all announced they are experiencing problems.
“Our IT team is actively investigating to determine the root cause of the issue.
“Driver diagrams cannot be accessed in certain locations, which may result in short notice cancellations, particularly on the Thameslink and Great Northern networks.
“In addition, other key systems are affected, including our real-time customer information platform.
“We will provide further updates when possible. In the meantime, please check your itinerary regularly before traveling.”
