Bumrah attacks early
South Africa’s innings saw some early wickets, with Jasprit Bumrah bowling a perfect delivery to get out Reeza Hendricks in the second innings, followed by Aiden Markram getting out Arshdeep Singh.
However, de Kock continued his good form by partnering Tristan Stubbs to score 58 runs off 38 balls.
After Stubbs’ dismissal and Akshar Patel’s 31, South Africa still needed more than 100, but Heinrich Klaassen came to bat with the last ball of the ninth over.
And de Kock was unable to control the chase, smashing Arshdeep back into the hands of Kuldeep Yadav for a precious 39 runs.
