Popular Disney characters such as Gaston and Cogsworth appear in the musical “Beauty and the Beast Junior” set in a high school.
Springwood High School students will perform on the school’s Peter Hopkins Hall stage for three nights starting tomorrow.
The Faculty of Arts is behind the show, which features familiar and favorite characters such as Belle, Gaston, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts and Cogsworth.
The production is based on the original Broadway production, which ran for more than 13 years.
Beauty and the Beast Jr. features some of the most popular songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, as well as new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.
Tickets for the show are £8 for adults, £4 for under 18s and free for under 5s.
