King Charles was pictured arriving at Clarence House today after returning from Norfolk for prostate surgery.
The 75-year-old monarch sat in the back seat of a livery car as it drove through the mall, passing several onlookers.
Charles flew home today by helicopter from Sandringham, where he had been resting for a few days.
He was keen to share his diagnosis to encourage other men who may be experiencing symptoms to follow health advice and get tested.
It comes at a difficult time for the British royal family, with the Princess of Wales recovering from a scheduled abdominal surgery and the Duchess of York revealing yesterday that she has skin cancer.
The Princess of Wales is said to be “recovering well” after undergoing abdominal surgery at the London Clinic near Regent's Park last week.
She will remain in a private clinic for up to 14 days and is not expected to return to official duties until after Easter.
Meanwhile, Sarah, 64, was diagnosed with melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer, after having several moles removed during reconstructive surgery following a mastectomy in June.
One of them was found to have cancer and is currently undergoing further medical examinations to see if the cancer was detected at an early stage.
On Tuesday, the king's second son Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were pictured alongside Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who wants to make Jamaica a republic, with a referendum expected to be held later this year.
Mr Holness told the current Prince and Princess of Wales during a visit to the Caribbean in 2022 that the country was “moving forward” and intended to “achieve its true ambitions and destiny as an independent, developed and prosperous nation”. He said that.
The Sussexes' appearance comes as Prince Harry's father, the King, prepares to undergo hospital treatment for an enlarged prostate, while Kate, Duchess Kate, remains in hospital following abdominal surgery.
As other observers wait for an announcement from the Sussexes regarding Charles and Duchess Kate's hospitalization, royal commentator Phil Dampier told MailOnline: “Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan recently announced that It seems to appear as soon as you open it.”
“Under normal circumstances, I would have no problem with them going to a movie premiere. But this, at a time when his father has gone under the knife and there is talk of Jamaica abolishing the monarchy, That’s pretty insensitive.”
The Sussexes also posed with Marlene Malahoo Forte, Jamaica's Minister of Justice and Constitution.
Mrs Marahoo Forte told Sky News in May last year ahead of the king's coronation that an “urgent” referendum to “sever ties” and remove Charles as Jamaican monarch could be held as early as 2024. He said it was sexual.
“(Republicanism) is about saying goodbye to a form of government tied to a painful past of colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade,” she said.
Last week, it was announced that the Princess of Wales has undergone abdominal surgery and is unlikely to return to royal duties until after Easter.
“I must admit I was shocked when I received the statement from Kensington Palace,” wrote Daily Mail diary editor Eden.
“Although authorities stressed that the surgery was 'planned,' the seriousness of the operation is reflected in the fact that she will be hospitalized for up to two weeks.”
“Hospitals these days often want to discharge patients after only a few days, even after major surgery.
“Royal newsletters such as this typically downplay the nature of the health condition,” but the statement said Kate was “unlikely to return” to public life for another 11 weeks.
“Part of my shock was because Duchess Kate, 42, has always looked so fit and healthy and often participated in sporting activities during her royal duties,” he continues.
“Following further concerns about the health of the royal family, Buckingham Palace issued a statement later that day confirming that King Charles, 75, will undergo medical treatment next week.”
“In contrast to the statement about Catherine, details were given about his condition, explaining that he needed treatment for an enlarged prostate.'' His engagement would be canceled “for a short period of time.''
“The fact that two of the most senior members of The Firm are going on hiatus at the same time, and that Prince William wants to spend more time with his convalescent wife, reflects my view of the King's vision. “A slimmed-down'' monarchy further increases concerns about a “slimmed'' monarchy.
“At times like these, you need a strong company with other members of the family ready to step into the breach.
“I’m not talking about Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan!”
