JAK JONES party with Kyren Wilson and his wife inner After losing in a heartbreaking World Snooker Championship final.
In a tense Crucible final, Wilson overcame a spirited comeback from qualifier Jones 18-14.
However, the two put their rivalry aside and shared drinks at the after-party after the game.
Jones met his wife, Inna, a law student, in Latvia in 2016 while playing in the Riga Masters.
And they were photographed together as Wilson gave a speech to the audience at the afterparty.
Wilson, who won the top prize of £500,000, cried tears of joy after defeating Jones before hugging his brother and two sons.
But the Welsh runner-up, who pocketed £200,000, was full of praise for Wilson.
He said: “Congratulations to Kailen and his family. They deserve it.
“It was an unbelievable tournament for me. A month ago, I was twitching in my first qualifying match. I’m happy about that.
“I thought I’d just hope for the best and see what happens, but Kylen is a solid all-around player. It wasn’t meant to be.”
Wilson ate nothing but salmon in the run-up to the title, but the fish was ditched in favor of chicken curry, crisps and beer at the afterparty.
He never let go of his silver snooker trophy, cradling it like it was his own child.
At 32 years old, Wilson has time to succeed at the highest level again, having overtaken Ronnie O’Sullivan to become No. 3 in the world.
And he said: “I would be disappointed if I only scored one shot. I believe I can be a multiple world champion.
“This first match has to be the hardest one to win – for sure! I can build a legend in this sport, so now that I’m through this, I want to do well at it. ”
