It’s February. My professor realized that winter break was long over and started assigning real work. Sigh.
I’m full of papers, problem sets, labs, and the usual group projects.
But I have to be honest. Despite their notorious reputation, group projects are my favorite opportunity to find new friends. Maybe we’ll be more than just class friends? Maybe this person will come to my dog’s funeral? Who is my future spouse? who knows? The possibilities are endless. This might be it.I’ll find it my person in the intestines of Phillips Hall.
My track record with group projects has always been excellent perfection. Everyone I randomly assigned to the group was productive, easy to converse with, and skilled in the class content. So, I’m looking forward to another great collaborative experience this semester.
As I wait for my professor’s decision on who I’ll be grouped with, I daydream feverishly about my future project partners. And soon I will be BFFL.
The perfect group project partner has no worries. They are not afraid to wait until 10 minutes before the due date to turn in their assignments. Is it a presentation? They do not inform anyone about their plans or content, because it is nothing to them. power point slides They cover for it even though the other partner has an abnormal fear of public speaking. This courage does not scare me at all. In fact, it inspires me to want to be like them.
My dream group project partner seems to be someone who believes in “.Less is better” Trends among hairdressers. They believe that the success of our school year depends on them contributing as little as possible. Their decision not to collaborate on any projects is not lazy; their minimalism is pioneering and bold.
As for the group chats we create, I’m sure my imaginary partner wouldn’t even bother saving my contact names. But in the classroom, they will dominate the presentation with their opinions. wonderful idea.
But hey. They’re busy. They are presidents of three different clubs, a teaching assistant for COMP 110, and pledged to the highest fraternity activities. Who has time to sit and worry about creating the perfect Canva presentation?
