India came in search of a winner’s medal. Rohit Sharma: “It’s difficult to summarise what we’ve been through over the last three or four years. A lot has happened behind the scenes. Not what we did today, but what we’ve done before. We’ve had a lot of pressure games and we’ve succumbed to the pressure. The players know what to do when the pressure is on. Today was a perfect example, we came together with our backs against the wall. We really wanted this. We need to be united. I’m very proud of the players and the management. They gave us the freedom and the confidence to play. It starts with the management, the coaches, the captain and the players.”
