Pepper’s Steppin’ Lifestyle Fitness, a new personal training gym near Big Lots, is changing your life one step at a time with a personal fitness regime.
Founder Cuan T. Peppers became passionate about creating a healthy lifestyle after losing his mother to complications from lupus. Since then, Peppers has made it his personal mission to motivate as many people as possible with his passion to get better physically every day.
“I’ve been doing this for about four and a half years,” Peppers said. “I started this in early 2019. At first I was doing a little bit here at Planet Fitness. Then I went to Victory Fitness here and did that. One day at the gym , it occurred to me that I might be able to do this myself.”
Peppers started with four or five clients training at Rotary Park in order to open his own fitness center in Forest Hills Crossing.
“It’s been a hit ever since,” Peppers said. “We specialize in strength training, strength training, cardio, all of those great workouts, and we combine them all to create a great regimen that’s great for anyone at any age.”
Peppers is a certified personal trainer with the International Sports Science Association and is pursuing further education in exercise and physical therapy to address sports injuries and rehabilitation.
“I’ve been playing sports since I was little,” Peppers said. “I’ve had a talent for this since I was little. I loved playing soccer, running track and field, playing baseball, and doing fitness. This endeavor has helped me connect more with people. This environment is a safe space. We don’t judge at all. We have no intention of making any kind of stipulations.”
Peppers said it’s not about who runs the fastest or lifts the heaviest weight. It’s about getting better every day. Mr Peppers said he was concerned about the number of young people living unhealthy lifestyles.
“It’s unsightly for someone my age,” Peppers said. “My generation is much less healthy than when I was in high school, and that’s the problem.”
Peppers said she’s happy to finally be able to open her own store.
“This is definitely one of the most rewarding jobs,” Peppers said. “With that mission comes a very, very, very big responsibility. This is all a walk of faith. All of this was just a vision, but when you actually start taking action, the results come back. , I found each task extremely rewarding. Having this entire environment prepared and centered around my dreams is more amazing than words can describe. is.”
After cleaning up at the end of the day, he said he takes a step back, looks around the gym, and thanks God for all the hard work it took to get here.
“Whether someone comes here or not, all I want is to know that you only live once,” Peppers said. “Even if it’s just a step, you have to work hard every day to make the most of it. The biggest thing is to make that change for the better. What I instill here is That’s it.”
Pepper’s is hosting “Hitbox Saturday.” He describes his one-hour training regiment as a boot camp circuit open to the public for just $6 per person. Single, duo, and group session options are available, and prices range from 45 to 50 minutes.
