The 2nd Luv FM and Nhyira FM Health and Fitness Walk of 2024 lived up to expectations as hundreds of excited patrons took part in a workout in Kumasi.
Individuals, schools, groups and officials from some corporate institutions converged on Kumasi Mall for the exercise.
A 9km fitness walk from Kumasi City Mall to Nyeso and Adumu has begun. The participants then descended through Baba Yara Sports Stadium to Asafo, Amacom and back to the mall.
The 2024 edition began with an aerobic session with participants walking through the streets of Kumasi.
“We really enjoyed this year’s edition. Participating in the fitness walk for the second time was a great experience. I am glad that my family and I were able to participate,” said a participant.
Another said: “Today Luv/Nhyira Fm took over Kumasi with a fitness walk. I’m so excited considering the number of people who saw it. Best of all I got to see some old friends from high school today That’s the best thing.”
This year, several high schools were happy to participate, including St. Louis Girls SHS and Kumasi University of Technology.
“This is a first for us, but it seems like a lot is missing from previous editions. Our daughters are enjoying this moment that is always part of the SRC Week celebrations. ” said a senior girl who is a prefect at St. Louis SHS.
Fitness Walk has become perhaps the largest health and wellness program in the Ashanti Region.
Sponsors of the Luv/Nhyira FM Fitness Walk provided meals and other benefit packages to participants.
“We always cherish this moment because it’s a good opportunity for those of us in a corporate environment to exercise. At the same time as we work on our health, we also deepen our interactions with prospects. Because Luv/Nhyira and the entire Multimedia group made it happen,” said a representative from Zest Consult.
Luv/Nhyira Fm Fitness Walk coordinator Eric Inkoom said he was impressed with the turnout. He thanked the sponsors and patrons for making the event a success.
