Customers are saving hundreds of dollars by picking up deeply discounted Godfreys vacuum cleaners after the iconic brand announced it was entering government.
Some customers can save up to 75% off on popular items like robot vacuums and Bissell products.
Godfreys cited downward pressure on consumer spending due to high inflation and concerns about the cost of living as reasons for the demise.
Jane Allen, daughter of co-founder John Johnston, said: “Unfortunately, like many retailers, we have experienced a decline in consumer confidence and spending due to economic times of high inflation, rising interest rates and severe cost of living pressures. It has had a big impact.” on tuesday.

This isn’t advertised, but yesterday in Prahran there was a piece of printed paper that said ‘Ex Demo 75 percent off.’ There was a handwritten note posted on the window and on the door in Richmond that read “up to 75 percent off.”
Mum Purieh also secured four brand new vacuum cleaners for $636.72, saving her more than $2,000.
