Like many people, I’ve turned to cream bronzers in the last few years. Thanks to brands like Chanel and Charlotte’s Teaberry, these creamy products are more popular than ever, and I personally can’t go back to powdered formulas anymore. So when I first heard about Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer (£22), I knew I had to get it.
If you love the original Glossier Cloud Paint Blush, you’ll love the bronzer version. The sheer, natural yet flattering formula sits comfortably on the skin and deceives the look of a skin-kissed glow. Unlike regular powder bronzers, cream bronzers work better in synergy with your skin.

Why should you rely on cream bronzers? If you find powder bronzers too powdery or have dry skin, cream formulas are best for you. Glossier focuses on the appearance of real skin, with products designed to naturally flatter your skin tone. The new bronzer is available in his five shades, designed to add dimension to the skin and give it a natural, sun-kissed glow.
What did I think overall?
I had very high expectations for the bronzer after trying the Cloud Paint Blush a while back and I have to say I was very impressed. The lightweight gel texture mimics a blush formula and adds no shimmer or shimmer. Personally, I like bronzers that add color and shine to my fair skin, and I love the final result. I found that I needed to reapply the bronzer several times to create the look I wanted, but I love that this product is buildable and customizable for everyone.
I used the shade Dune and it looks great on fair to light skin tones. Finding the perfect shade of bronzer can be difficult, but it’s important to focus on the undertone you’re looking for. If you want to disguise the skin-kissed look, a warmer orange bronzer will do the trick. However, if you want to tighten your face and create depth and shadow, a cool gray-toned bronzer is the way to go.

As with Cloud Paint Blush, my only complaint is the packaging. The tube is great for traveling or keeping in your makeup bag, but you’ll need to use the back of your hand to pick up the product with a brush to apply it directly to your skin. I applied the bronzer with REFY’s double-ended brush and was happy with the result.
Looking to shop? If you love Glossier’s Cloud Paint Blush, we think adding a new bronzer to your routine is a great idea. Both products blend beautifully on the skin, creating a natural yet radiant and flattering sizing, perfect as spring approaches.
