
MCR Hotel (MCR)the third largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, has agreed to acquire the hotel. BT Tower From BT Group in London. MCR will have freehold ownership of the 620ft tower and podium, which encompasses the entire city of London.
MCR intends to secure the future of this iconic Grade II listed tower by: Reuse as a hotel and release it to the public. MCR will partner with Heatherwick Studios to consider how best to reimagine its use as a hotel.

Due to the scale and complexity of the technology relocation operation, it is expected that it will take many years for BT Group to vacate the premises, and significant time will be required for design development and community engagement before a proposal can be submitted. It will take a while.
MCR owns and operates many of New York’s most famous hotels. The High Line Hotelformer seminary, and TWA Hotel at JFK Airporta reimagining of Eero Saarinen’s 1962 landmark Flight Center. Received architecture award from American Institute of Architects. The company also owns the famous Gramercy Park Hotel, which is currently being redeveloped.
