There are a lot of people these days who consider themselves online influencers, and many of them photograph most parts of their daily lives.
However, one gym has decided to introduce new rules to crack down on people filming their workouts for content.
Many fitness influencers often upload footage of their daily workouts, often professionally shot using tripods and other equipment.

However, problems can arise at the gym, as people you don’t want to be photographed need to be avoided from the shot so they don’t appear in the background.
To solve this problem, Australia-based Doherty’s Gym aims to ban training videos with new rules. The gym, which has locations in both Melbourne and Perth, said filming using tripods “will no longer be permitted” due to safety concerns.
A notice shared on social media read: “It is our duty of care to provide security and privacy to all members. Tripods are a trip hazard and are a safety concern.”
However, there is one way to get around this new rule if you really want to film your workouts. Those who wish to upload content from there can now purchase a “media pass” at reception, the gym said. However, they said it was important that no one was filmed without their consent.
Gym owner Tony Doherty says: ‘If you have to take a quick video on your phone during a workout, be aware that there is someone behind you and post or share the image if they are. Please obtain consent for this.”
“Instead, put down your phone and continue training. This may be unpopular with tripod staff, but others will appreciate not having to deal with them.”
Tony said just because one person wants to film their life doesn’t mean everyone will. And that’s not his only new rule for the gym, 10 new requests have been implemented there.

A new sign at the gym’s front desk lists 10 new rules, including “no excessive moaning” and “advance reservations required for photos.”
People are divided over new rules posted on the gym’s Instagram page. One person asked, “How can I get a refund for the remainder of my Annual Pass that I purchased before this rule went into effect?” Meanwhile, another added: “Looks like I’m banned.”
But others welcomed the new rules, with one adding: “It’s about time someone did something.” And he exclaimed: “That’s right…other gyms will follow your stance.”
