A Nigerian woman has drawn more than 4,000 nails in 72 hours to break a world record.
Richa Dakor, 19, flew around an event center in Nigeria’s northern Plateau state with a nail brush in hand, decorating hundreds of nails with blue, pink and purple varnish.
Her three-day marathon came to a shocking end on Wednesday.
Guinness World Records (GWR) rules state that Mr Ducko must paint 60 nails per hour if he is to be counted.
She is currently waiting for GWR to review her attempt after submitting evidence.
Daco said she took on the challenge to change the narrative about teen mothers like herself.
“I want to give people hope, especially single mothers, because a lot of people think there’s nothing we can offer,” she told the BBC.
The manicurist has been working professionally for about three years and also says she wants to shine a spotlight on women in northern Nigeria.
Dakko also said he hopes his record attempt will raise the profile of his home state of Plateau.
The plateau is where Nigeria’s predominantly Muslim north and predominantly Christian south meet, and is home to many mixed communities.
The region has battled decades of insecurity and conflict between different ethnic and religious groups, leaving thousands of people dead.
“People judge Plateau by its cover. Apart from the ethnic issues we have, Plateau is a beautiful place. While embarking on this endeavor, I had support from all ethnic groups.” she said.
