The RSPCA is appealing for information after a guinea pig was abandoned at a London Underground station with a note saying: “Needs new home.”
The adorable pets, aged between six months and a year, were found at Canning Town Station on February 18 at around 4.20pm.
Sadly, there were no surveillance cameras in the area where he was left in the cage with a note taped to it.

The guinea pig, named DiscoPig, will soon be able to be rehomed from the RSPCA with his friends.
Although Disco Pig was found to be “healthy and well cared for”, RSPCA staff are concerned that the animal may have been neglected.
“He appeared to be healthy and well cared for. It’s very sad that someone would abandon a pet in this way,” said the RSPCA, who adopted the pet and took it to an RSPCA center. said Shahnaz Ahmad, a public official.

It added: “This guinea pig was found alone. Guinea pigs are social by nature and usually prefer the company of one or more other guinea pigs.
“Guinea pigs can exhibit abnormal behavior and may suffer if left unaccompanied.”
Inspector Ahmad also called on people struggling to care for their pets to seek help from charities instead of abandoning them, adding: This is the situation.
“Abandoning pets in such a way is an incredibly cruel act and is never the solution.”
