Ramin Yamal is expected to replace Kylian Mbappe following his record-breaking move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
As the Mirror reports, Yamal was just 16 years old when he thrilled crowds when he played for Barcelona and Spain at Euro 2024, before quickly developing into a key player for the national team which reached the knockout rounds.
His fine performances have made him a leading candidate for this year’s Golden Boy award, with the award’s founder Massimo Franchi predicting the young winger is capable of succeeding Kylian Mbappe at PSG and could demand a record-breaking transfer fee.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if one day, probably on August 31, the newspapers report that he will replace Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain,” Franchi said in an interview with TZ. He speculates that the transfer fee might exceed the whopping 222 million euros PSG previously paid for Neymar, and that Yamal’s fee could reach as much as 250 million euros.
Yamarz’s contract has a huge release clause of 1 billion euros but continuing financial concerns may force Barcelona to accept a lower offer for the La Masia academy star.
“When we think of future superstars, the only one who comes to mind is Lamine Yamal. His release clause at FC Barcelona is 1 billion euros, but the club has financial problems,” Franchi said.
