Here at Gizmodo Australia, we love gadgets and try a lot of cool ones. So many that it’s often hard to write about them all. So we’ve decided to start a new spotlight series: showcasing the five best gadgets out there. Gizmo This month’s.
Now, let’s start the show. These are Gizmodo Australia The team that will be playing together in May.
Google Pixel 8a

Google’s “a” suffix Pixel devices have always been popular. Gizmodo AustraliaThis year is no different. However, the Google Pixel 8a has increased in price this year, but now comes in a beautiful blue finish and with a second storage option for the first time in Australia. It’s one of the best phones you can buy for under $1000 right now, with a great camera, small size and the Pixel operating system making it a great choice if you’re looking to switch from an iPhone.

The Google Pixel 8a is available now from the Google Store, JB Hi-Fi, and Harvey Norman for $850. And Officeworks.
iPad Pro (2024)

friend Gizmodo Australia Alice Clark reviewed Apple’s latest iPad Pro, which introduces a beautiful OLED display and a new stylus, the Pencil Pro, as an add-on purchase. Alice thought it was “iPad-like” and probably over-specced more than most people will need, but it’s great for pros and enthusiasts. “The M4 chip is groundbreaking, and for all the reasons above, I think the iPad Pro with Logic Pro is a must-have for serious musicians. It’s another tool that lets you realize your vision with less technology interference,” said Alice.
The iPad Pro is available now from Apple, The Good Guys and Amazon Australia starting at $1,699.
AMD Ryzen 7 8700G

AMD’s extremely powerful Ryzen 7 8700G processor is a gaming powerhouse capable of incredible 4K and 2K gameplay at high frame rates when used with a comparable graphics card. Even without a graphics card, it’s a pretty good budget build to perform. If you need a PC on a budget and can opt for a cheaper CPU and GPU, this processor probably isn’t the right choice, but it’s well worth it.
The AMD Ryzen 7 8700G is available now from Scorptec, Computer Alliance and MWave for $499.
Dyson Supersonic Nooral

Editor-in-Chief Athena Mallis tried out the amazing Dyson Supersonic Neural back in May and found it to be one of the best hairdryers on the market. In her review, she said it’s her top pick for a new Dyson hair dryer. It’s pretty pricey at $749, but your hair will love it.
The Dyson Supersonic Nural is available now from Dyson, The Good Guys, and Mecca for $749.
Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar

Samsung’s latest premium soundbar is truly the best of the best. Pair it with what I believe to be the best TV you can buy in Australia right now – the Samsung S95D – and you’ll get a cinema-like experience at home. With a speaker setup that includes the device spanning the entire room, and tight connectivity to your Samsung TV (you can even use Samsung’s proprietary “eArc” HDMI port), it’s hard to ignore if you really want the best experience. Too bad it’s not cheap.
Samsung HW-Q990D It’s available now from Samsung online, JB Hi-FI and Harvey Norman for $1,995.
