Popular fitness and wellness app Gentler Streak is receiving another important update this week. This version gives users more detailed fitness status, as well as new custom icons and a rebuilt Apple Watch app. Read on to learn more about what’s new in this update.
New features in Gentler Streak update
Version 4.4 of Gentler Streak introduces a completely rebuilt Apple Watch app. Developers say this makes watchOS apps faster and, more importantly, uses significantly less battery. But this update adds even more features.
Gentler Streak’s daily fitness status feature has also been significantly improved to provide more details to users. This update adds 14 new fitness stats and also pays special attention to over-the-top situations and some niche scenarios. The new statuses are “more in line with people’s actual conditions,” the developers say.
In addition to all these improvements, Gentler Streak 4.4 comes with six new custom icons. Three of these icons were created by the Gentler Streak team, while his other three were chosen as part of the Icon Challenge. There are also icons created by Basic Apple Guy.
For those unfamiliar, Gentler Streak is an app that helps users better understand their physical condition and see if they can improve their workouts or if they’re pushing themselves too hard. The app won the 2022 Apple Watch App of the Year award and was recently named a finalist for the 2023 Apple Design Award.
Gentler Streak is free to download from the App Store, but some advanced features require a subscription or perpetual license. It’s worth noting that Activity Summary is a free feature, so anyone can use it.
