Dubai: Environmentally conscious UAE shoppers looking to upgrade their old equipment are in for a treat. As part of its sustainability drive, electronics retailer Sharaf DG is encouraging consumers to upgrade their old devices to new ones.
Shoppers can redeem their smartphones, laptops, TVs, appliances, audio products and other electronics for guaranteed cashback deals as part of the “biggest buyback and biggest e-waste collection drive”.
This nationwide campaign is organized in partnership with Dubai Shopping Festival. Families can bring their old and used accessories, smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other hard goods to the store and say goodbye to electronic junk responsibly.
Working and non-working laptops can be exchanged for Dh500 for every new laptop. An additional Dh300 will be paid to the customer in cash immediately or at their doorstep.
Those looking to redecorate their homes can avail cashback redemption of Dh3,500 on appliances and TVs. This retailer also offers home and personal audio replacements at his 50% off.

Largest buyback and e-waste recovery operation

Sharaf DG also went paperless and encouraged customers to receive green bills via email. “We have introduced cloth and paper bags across all our stores to ensure that premium products can be taken home in green covers.
