Want to watch a Cricket World Cup match but can’t make it to the new stadium in Nassau County, Long Island?
The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Port Authority are organizing a free public viewing party at the World Trade Center’s North Oculus Plaza.
Each viewing party will have matches from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 tournament broadcast on large screens.
With this year’s Cricket World Cup coming to East Meadow on Long Island, local businesses are gearing up for a big boom, reports NBC New York’s Erica Byfield.
The following viewing sessions will be held:
- June 5, 10.30am: India vs Ireland
- June 5, 7:30pm: Papua New Guinea vs Uganda
- June 5, 8:30pm: Australia vs Oman
- June 6, 11:30 a.m.: United States vs. Pakistan
- June 6, 3pm: Namibia v Scotland
- June 8, 10:30am: Netherlands vs South Africa
- June 8, 1pm: Australia v England
- June 8, 8:30pm: West Indies vs Uganda
- June 9, 10:30 am: India vs Pakistan
- 9 June, 1pm: Oman v Scotland
- June 10, 10:30am: South Africa vs Bangladesh
- June 11, 10:30am: Pakistan vs Canada
- June 11, 7:30pm: Sri Lanka vs Nepal
- June 11, 8:30pm: Australia v Namibia
- June 12, 10:30am: USA vs India
- June 29th, 10:30am: Final
Fans will be asked to respond via Eventbrite for each viewing party they would like to attend.
There will also be fan activities during the party, including face painting, cricket simulators and appearances by players and mascots.
