On the same night, Khan Solanke died in the same violent ‘chaos’.
“As soon as the car hit him and knocked him off his bike, the car stopped next to him and all the occupants got out.”
The court heard that the three men got out of the car and “stabbed and beat Charlie with a large knife as he lay helplessly on the ground” in Sewell Road.
The man was found to have suffered multiple stab wounds, including to the head, and died in hospital that evening.
“I stabbed my friend”
Mr Khan, who was one of the killers, died during the violence after one of his “team” “stabbed his own friend”, the court was told.
Superintendent Kate Blackburn said: ‘I am delighted that all four defendants have been found guilty.
“This was an unusual case in that the killing of Mr. Khan Solanke was clearly not a group objective.
“This incident shows the full extent of the devastation caused by knife crime and how people armed with large knives risked killing not only those they considered enemies, but also those they considered friends. I am.
“My thoughts, and those of my team, are with the families of both Charlie and Khan.”
Mr. Barr and Mr. Jobe are scheduled to be sentenced in the same court on February 7th. The other two defendants are scheduled to be sentenced on February 23.
