Former Croatia international Ivana Noor has become known as the “world’s sexiest football fan” as she cheers on her country at the 2022 World Cup and travels to Germany for Euro 2024.
“The world’s sexiest football fan” Ivana Noor was in Germany for Euro 2024 and watched Croatia suffer a 3-0 defeat to Spain in the tournament’s opening match.
A former Miss Croatia, Nole made headlines during the 2022 World Cup, cheering on her country in their semi-final defeat to eventual winners Argentina. Her social media following soared during the tournament, and she garnered plenty of attention when she appeared in a Croatian flag-inspired outfit for her country’s opening Euros match.
Noor previously spoke about her World Cup experience, adding: “Qatar was a crazy experience. I never thought something like that would happen. When the dust settled and I realised what had actually happened, it was something I’ll never forget.”
“Everything has been great. The success of my country and what I have achieved in Qatar has helped many women who will follow in my footsteps. I am happy with everything that has happened.”
She has become a familiar face since the Qatar match and Nour continues to keep her three million followers updated on her antics on Instagram, but her first game for Croatia in Germany ended in disaster.
Goals from Alvaro Morata, Fabian Ruiz and Dani Carvajal gave Spain a convincing victory and left Croatia facing a tough task of progressing through the group stage. After the match, Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic apologised to the fans for the performance.
“It was a great atmosphere,” the coach said. “I don’t know how many Croatian fans were there today. I want to apologise for today’s poor game. I’m amazed that so many of you came here. My message is that I want to apologise to them.”
“We weren’t aggressive enough, we were too far away from their players, we gave them too much space. When you give your players that much space it makes it a difficult game, especially in the first half.”
Croatia will be looking to bounce back when they face Albania on Wednesday and Nole will be in attendance. “Of course I want Croatia to win. I was born and raised in Germany so I’m rooting for Germany,” Nole told The Sun ahead of the tournament.
“I think France are one of the best teams. It’s a shame they lost but they’re a great team. I think England have a great chance too. It’s a shame they didn’t pick their best team but as a Croatia fan I’m happy.”
