Indian media personnel who are in the Caribbean covering the T20 World Cup will also board the same flight as part of a special arrangement made by the BCCI to bring stranded media personnel home.
Barbados is in the grip of Hurricane Beryl, which has caused flights to be cancelled and Grantley Adams International Airport to be closed for a period of time.
India won the T20 World Cup final by defeating South Africa by seven runs at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29.
The plane, with callsign AIC24WC, is scheduled to land in Barbados at about 2 a.m. local time.
As per the revised itinerary, the team is scheduled to depart Barbados at 4:30am local time. The flight time from Barbados to Delhi is expected to be 16 hours, barring any further delays. If all goes to plan, the team is expected to arrive in Delhi at 6am Indian Standard Time (IST) on Thursday.
The Indian team was originally scheduled to leave Barbados at around 6 pm local time on July 2 and arrive at 7:45 pm IST on Wednesday, but weather conditions derailed the plan.
