One of the biggest problems why many people don’t see results from their workouts is because they give up and lose sight of their “why” too early in their fitness journey. Changing your body requires being consistent and not giving up when it’s no longer “fun.”
What usually happens is that at first you’re all out and excited. Start with your goals in mind and begin your desired program. Over time, perhaps weeks or even months, your motivation will start to wane.
Usually something like this happens. Maybe you’re not seeing results fast enough, you’ve set unrealistic goals, your fitness habits are starting to interfere with your social life, or you’re just tired of training together. These are all common and understandable reasons for wanting to quit. But try to find the drive to actually keep moving forward.
Here are some of the many examples of times when you feel that little voice in your head cheering you on to quit, urging you to keep going.
collaborate with professionals
If you can afford it, I highly recommend starting with a personal trainer. Learn how to train the right way to get results faster.
why close
Don’t lose sight of why you’re doing this routine.
Follow fitness role models
Seeing fitness posts every day will give you more encouragement and push to reach your goals.
Put it on your schedule
If you stick to a schedule, you’re more likely to keep up with your training sessions.
Set a target date
Think about the month/day you want to achieve this goal.
Keep the alarm out of reach
Physically get out of bed to turn off the alarm. You’re more likely not to fall into snooze.
choose your time wisely
Choose a time that gives you the best energy for training.
say no to people
Don’t let yourself be pressured to stop training to be with friends or let anything distract you from your daily routine.
find fun in training
Think about how spending this time training can make you feel stronger, lighter, healthier, and happier.
Finding the motivation to exercise can be difficult, but you can start by staying focused on why you exercise and carving out time in your day to prioritize fitness. The results will begin to show. So the next time you think about quitting your workout, try one or more of these motivational tips.
