A bikini model and actor who briefly appeared in the hit horror film “Wolf Creek” was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a teenage boy and faces a felony charge of child molestation after material was allegedly found on her cell phone. He has been indicted.
Young mother and model Megan Sky Brancada appeared in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday charged with sexual abuse of a boy under 16 and possession of child exploitation material.
According to court documents, police allege the offenses occurred in Adelaide’s northern suburbs between July 30, 2021 and November 6, 2023.
Ms. Brancada, 34, advertises herself as a fitness model in her online profile and promotes her roles in films such as “Hey Hey It’s Esther” and “Wolf Creek.”
Her Facebook posts also show off her glamorous lifestyle, with multiple posts showing off her work as a bikini model.
In a post on August 30, 2023, she showed off her J’adore dress, writing, “I absolutely needed a @dressforanight dress so I attended a red carpet event in Sydney and it did not disappoint.” is written.
Brancada claims to be the model for Mitsubishi Bank and SA Bank, and is the author of the novel Shadow Hunters: Shadows in the Wall.
The Adelaide-born model also says in her online profile that she “keeps a low profile and likes to keep her personal life to herself.”
Andrew Graham, who appeared on behalf of Mr Brancada, told Judge Simon Smart that his client would make incriminating statements to prosecutors.
“My client will plead guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse and two counts of indecent assault,” he said.
Police charged Brancada with knowingly possessing child exploitation material after confiscating his cell phone following his November arrest.
Negotiations between the defense and prosecutors continue, and Smart postponed Brancada’s case until May 1, citing liability.
Brancada had wavy blonde hair and was wearing a pressed white shirt and black pants.
She refused to make any statements after leaving the courtroom.
Brancada is scheduled to appear in court again in May to answer the charges.
