The long weekend celebrations were called off on Sunday after Steph Claire Smith suffered a very unpleasant injury.
The 29-year-old fitness influencer shared a photo of her red, raw derriere posing in a bikini on her Instagram Stories, revealing in the caption that she had been stung by a wasp multiple times. I made it.
“I took aim and encountered a wasp.” [laughing/crying emoji]” she wrote while posing in a G-string bikini in front of her 2-year-old son Harvey.
“Thankfully they never caught H (who was in my arms at the time),” she added.
She shared a close-up photo of the bite mark in a subsequent post, writing: “I bet they wanted to add it to my spotted butt.”
This comes after Steph and her ‘Keep It Cleaner’ podcast co-host Laura Henshaw discuss how difficult it can be to keep exercise and weight loss goals as New Year’s resolutions.
Steph said less than 10 percent of people achieve their goals and encouraged listeners to take small, manageable steps towards their goals.
“Many of these challenges are built around the idea of achieving more. The key is to develop habits that you can stick with,” she explained.
She added that people need to cut themselves some slack and be kind to themselves when it comes to challenges like losing weight in the new year.
She concluded that as long as people are making small steps toward their goals each week, they are working toward achieving their goals and should be happy.
Laura and Steph have built a multi-million dollar empire with their Keep It Cleaner brand and podcast. I regularly talk about body positivity and health on my podcast.
The pair’s latest brand collaboration is with popular activewear label STAX.
