A TikToker is speaking out after sharing a recording of a man being rude to her at the gym.
However, just as the recording was about to begin, it was interrupted.
Em, who goes by the username @emmysbakedbeans on the platform, shared on TikTok the moment a man started commenting on what she was doing at the gym.
You can’t see the man in the video, so everything seems fine if you don’t turn up the volume, but if you turn up the sound you can hear why Em suddenly gets up and walks away from one of the machines before he can barely stand up. She also started her own sessions.
In the recording, a high-pitched voice can be heard saying, “Try spending more time exercising. You’ll benefit more.”
“I’m sitting there filming myself the whole time. Why would I do that? It’s ridiculous.”
Em received a flood of comments on social media, with other users speaking out about the unpleasant interaction, and Em has since spoken out about the publicity she received.

Em appeared on TikTok last week and said the original video had gotten “more attention than I expected” and that she had received an outpouring of support from other social media users, including Joey Swole.
In the post, she continued: “I just want to say, don’t let this video or people who like it discourage you from going to the gym.
“You have the right to improve yourself by doing whatever you want without worrying about people.
“So just remember that and focus on working on yourself in a positive way.”
And once again, people are flocking to Em’s post to share their thoughts.
One TikTok user said, “I love workout videos, but I also love seeing people improve themselves and work hard for themselves…Brace yourselves.”
“You have such a calm demeanor. I would have been completely disappointed in that situation,” added another.
A third commented: “There’s nothing wrong with making videos at the gym. Unless you’re doing it to make fun of other people. I wouldn’t do that.”
And a fourth said: “Your videos at the gym motivate people to work out and motivate people like me to keep going. Thank you to all the people who film at the gym. You Thank you for your efforts, and please continue to do your best!”
