The 31-year-old pop star began her fitness journey in 2012 after the release of her hit song ‘Wrecking Ball’ and previously credited her body transformation to regular Pilates. Vivian Yu, founder of Australia’s Gym Near Me, spoke to the Daily Mail to find out more about the incredible power of Pilates and how it can completely transform your appearance.
“Pilates is a great whole-body workout that targets core strength, flexibility, and overall muscle tone,” he told the press. The workout targets the whole body and is also an exercise that involves pushing.” These are moving, pulling and holding movements of upper body parts such as the arms,” adding, “These movements work the muscles in the arms and build strength and a toned appearance.”
Pilates is an intense full-body workout that can reportedly help gym-goers burn up to 400 calories in just one session. This workout typically includes exercises such as crunches, leg raises, and wall sits, and can be accomplished without purchasing any special equipment.
While there’s no doubt that Pilates was the cause of Miley’s torn arm, experts say she probably did other arm workouts to achieve her current physique, including dumbbell curls, tricep dips, and push-ups. They claim that they are also doing so. Fitness experts claim that if you commit to regular Pilates and strength training, you can see big results in just a few months.
