MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will host the final match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, concluding a tournament with a total of 104 matches across three countries, FIFA announced on Sunday.
The tournament will be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
According to FIFA, the opening match will be played on June 11, 2026 at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. This famous stadium will host his three World Cups for the first time.
The World Cup will also expand the number of national teams from 32 countries to 48.
The USA’s group stage games will be played across the West Coast, with the USA team pitching in Los Angeles and Seattle.
Other U.S. cities hosting games include Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Boston and Philadelphia.
The World Cup final in New Jersey will be held on July 19, 2026.
