Manager Edin Terzic says Felix Nmeka is working extremely hard to recover from the hip injury that has kept him sidelined since November.
The season so far has certainly not gone to plan for Felix Nmeka, who has been sidelined with a hip injury since late November. It is still unclear when he will be able to return to training.
Edin Terzic provided an update on the midfielder’s condition at a press conference on Thursday, saying he is working hard to reach full fitness.
“Of course he is not happy not being able to practice and play with us, but Felix is a very positive person. There is not a day that he is not on the practice field and he is training hard. He comes here twice a day and practices all the time. “He’s trying to do everything he can to get back healthy as quickly as possible.”
Felix Nmeka joined Borussia Dortmund from VfL Wolfsburg this summer for a transfer fee of over 30 million euros. The 23-year-old struggled with fitness issues early in the season but was starting to find his footing before injuring his hip against Stuttgart in November. The club and player have decided to treat this matter carefully.
Borussia Dortmund will be hoping that Nmeka can return to action soon. The German international has so far made 15 appearances for the Blacks and Yellows, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
