Police have issued an emergency warning after two dog attacks left a lamb dead in a picturesque spot in Lancashire.
Last Thursday (February 29th), these poor animals were attacked and killed by an unknown dog. The incident took place at the picturesque Nicky Nook overlooking the village of Scorton near Garstang.
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary are currently investigating the incident to establish the identity of the dog and its owner. They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and to keep dogs on leads when walking in the countryside.

In a statement, Garstang and Over Wyre Police said: “Yesterday we became aware of two incidents of dog attacks on lambs in Nicky Nook, Co Skorton, which sadly resulted in the deaths of the lambs. For those of you who are going, lamb season is well underway.” Keep your dog on a lead when going for country walks through the countryside. There are no excuses.
“We receive far too many reports of dogs attacking livestock, even though this can easily be avoided with responsible and controlled owners while the dog is out walking. Thank you very much.
