The fundraiser, which has reportedly already raised $2 million (£1.57 million), is being organised as a reception and dinner for the former president’s son, Donald Trump Jr, and his fiancée, lawyer and former Fox News presenter Kimberly Guilfoyle.
This comes less than two weeks after Trump was found guilty in the “hush money” trial of falsifying business records to pay hush money to porn actresses, a historic verdict that could have an impact on this year’s US elections.
The Republican candidate was convicted by a New York jury of 34 counts of falsifying business records after weeks of testimony.
